Swire was in Sri Lanka last month where he called on President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Wickremesinghe, Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera and other senior ministers to discuss the new government's reform programme.
The two Ministers during the discussion further reviewed their discussions held in Sri Lanka with regard to bilateral relations including exchange of high level visits, prospects for enhanced economic and technical cooperation and support for addressing the human rights and accountability issues.
Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera who is in UK will visit the US where he will hold talks on Thursday with US Secretary of State John Kerry.
