The firm has invested 500,000 US dollars approx. in the venture including one million to launch the brand.

The firm also plans to open two to three subway stores in Sri Lanka this year.  To start with they will launch Subway in Colombo and greater Colombo and then go for Subways at Kandy, Galle, Matara, Ratnapura and so on.

Sebastian said this will be a success with the tourists too as they like to experience international brands with a local taste.(KH)
