The launching ceremony of the ‘NSB iSaver’ saving method was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the National Savings Bank Head Office in Colombo, yesterday (16th Aug.).
The ‘NSB iSaver’ was jointly created by the National Savings Bank and the Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel with the aim of further increasing the saving habits of the Sri Lankans, utilizing the modern communication technology.
The NSB iSaver is a novel experience in the field of digitization and the service will enable the customers to deposit their cash in National Savings Bank accounts conveniently at any time via the 16,000 Mobitel mCash dealer centers island-wide using the NSB iSaver.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
