Daya Pelpola, Ambassador handed the Commission of Appointment to Mr. Ugo Vassallo as Honorary Consul of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Catania, Sicily on 28th March.
The Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka based in Catania will hold territorial jurisdiction of Sicily. The appointment of an Honorary Consul in Sicily will greatly assist the many Sri Lankans living and working in Sicily.
Mr. Vassallo has graduated in Geology and has a broad experience in professional banking and financial advisory.
