Addressing media on Saturday in Auckland subsequent to the bilateral discussions with his Sri Lankan counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe, he further assured the support from New Zealand not only in agriculture, animal farming, and education sectors but, Rugby and Cricket. He said it was the intention of both countries to completely implement the bilateral agreements.

According to the Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, signing of bilateral agreements with other countries is essential for the development of a country and implementing them at hundred percent gains victorious results for both parties.

Accordingly, the Sri Lankan Members of Parliament would be able to visit New Zealand for studies in this regard. Their New Zealand counterparts would arrive in Sri Lanka and conduct several workshops. The expertise assistance would be received from NZ to protect indigenous vegetation and for the welfare and conservation of animals.
