    Commander of the Navy meets Nisha Biswal

    Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, who was on an official visit to the United States, met the US Assistant Secretary, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Ms. Nisha Biswal, at the United States Department of State recently and held discussions on mutually beneficial matters.


    Meanwhile he met Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Manpreet S. Anand, and Principal, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Ambassador William E. Todd at the Department of State.

     

    Commander of the Navy also met the Assistant Commandant for Acquisition and Chief Acquisition Officer of the US Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Joseph M. Vojvodich, at the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington DC.


    The Sri Lanka Navy’s Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Dharmendra Wettewa, the Defence Attaché of the Sri Lankan Embassy in the United States, Brigadier Jayantha Rathnayke, Personal Secretary and Aide to the Commander of the Navy, Captain Buddhika Liyanagamage and the Deputy Defence Attaché of the US Embassy in Sri Lanka Lt. Jacob F. English, were also present.
