Secretary Hettiarachchi and Malinowski had cordial discussions during the meeting on matters of bilateral importance and mutual relevance. Secretary Hettiarachchi also presented the visiting dignitary a memento to mark the occasion.

Malinowski was accompanied by Manpreet Singh Anand, US Deputy Assistant Secretary, South and Central Asian Affairs and Robert Hilton, Chargéd Affaires of the US Embassy in Colombo.

Ministry officials, Commanders of the Army and Air Force and Chief of Staff of the Navy were also present at the occasion.
