The session was attended by representatives from local companies, and senior officials of the Sri Lankan business delegation.

Speaking at the session, Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed said that the purpose of the session was to establish good relations with Sri Lanka’s private sector.

Highlighting foreign investment opportunities in the Maldives, the minister assured that efforts are also ongoing to strengthen foreign investment policies in the country. In this regard, he mentioned that the Special Economic Zone Bill has already been submitted to the parliament, while the Foreign Investment Bill will be submitted shortly.

Several presentations and videos were also presented at the networking session, regarding investment opportunities in the Maldives.(HC)
