In connection with the BITE travel fair SLTPB organized the roadshows in Tianjin and Shenyang on 18th May and 24th May 2016 respectively, in order to create an effective and efficient platform for networking between the two countries travel trade, the SLTPB said.

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau together with the local travel industry participated at this travel fair within an area of 200 square meters. This has been identified as a unique opportunity for the global travel trade to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business.

Sri Lanka Tourism was able to educate the public through distribution of brochures, DVD's and promoting tour packages during the general public day, Conducted Interviews with media and Travel agents and promote Sri Lanka as one of the best Tourists destination, Conducted a business networking session with the Sri Lankan Travel industry participants and the hosted buyers by the organizer.

Sri Lanka Tourism pavilion won the best popular pavilion award at the Beijing International Tourism Expo.
