    CBSL Treasury Bond auction on May 12

    Central Bank of Sri Lanka will  hold an auction issuing 19,000 million Treasury Bonds on 12th May at 11.00 a.m.

     

    The treasury bonds are divided into four series, Rs.5000 million under 8.00% 2018 ‘A’, Rs.5000 million under 9.25% 2020 ‘A’ ,Rs.5000 million under 10.00% 2022 ‘A’ and Rs. 4000 million under 11.40% 2024.

     

    Thee 8.00%2018 ‘A’ series Bonds will mature after 2 years and 6 months with a coupon rate of 8.00% per annum on the 15th of November 2018. The 9.25%2020 ‘A’ series Bonds are to mature in four years with a coupon rate of 9.25% per annum by four years on the 1st of may 2020.

     

    The 10.00%2022 ‘A’ series will get a coupon rate of 10.00%per annum and will mature in 6 years and 5 months on the 1st of October 2022. Series 11.40%2024 ‘A’ which gains a coupon rate of 11.40% per annum will mature in 7 years and 8 months on the 1st of January 2024.

     

    The minimum amount of bids would be rupees five million and multiples of rupees one million there onwards. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka maintains that the bids should only be made through he electronic Bidding facility provided by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. (CDN)
