Twenty sixth International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) annual meeting between the Sri Lanka and India Navies and Coast Guards was held on-board SLNS Sagara at the Indo-Sri Lanka Maritime Boundary Line off Kankasanthurai yesterday (28th April).
During the meeting matters relating to maintaining effective maritime security in the region by integration of forces through co-operation, coordination and collaboration was discussed.
The Sri Lankan delegation was headed by the Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva and the Indian delegation was headed by Rear Admiral Alok Bhatnagar. Mementos were also exchanged to mark this occasion.
