The Chief Guest of the event was Mrs. Mazahira Jabir, Director Asian Fabrics, Colombo.

 

In this event, President of Pakistan Women’s Association and Wife of Pakistan High Commissioner in Sri Lanka  Mrs. Rushda Qureshi, Gynaecologist Dr. Fazli Nizar, Senior Broadcaster and media personnel Rasheed M. Hafeel, Patron Mrs. Halida Shahabdeen, famous singer  Kalabhoosana Mrs. Noorjehan Marzook were honoured by the YWMA.

 

Muslim Majlis students of D.S. Senanayake College presented a cultural dance along with other performers which highly impressed the audience which was also followed by the melodious voices of our famous singers  Ms. Khairiya Ismail, Ms. Moina Begum and Mrs. Noorjehan Marzook.

 

The Association Newsletter edited by the Treasurer Deshamanya Fawaza Thaha and the Souvenir by the Assistant Secretary Suraiya Rizwi were published at the event.

 

Plaques were handed over to all the members including the President of YWMA who have contributed for all the humanitarian services undertaken by the YWMA.
