The Feast of St. Anthony’s Church, Kochchikade, Kotahena will be held today on a grand scale. There will be three festive High Masses in the three main languages, Sinhala, Tamil and English at different times. A large number of devotees are expected and the procession of the statue will commence in the evening at 5.00 p.m.
The festive Tamil High Mass at 8.00 a.m. will be presided over by Bishop Emmanual Fernando and Sinhala High Mass at 10.00 a.m by the Bishop of Kandy Rt. Rev. Dr. Vianney Fernado.
Apostolic Nuncio Rev. Dr. Peirre Nugyen Vean Tot will preside over the English Festive High Mass at 12.00 noon.
There will be Holy Masses from 4.00 a.m. continuously till evening apart from the three festive High Masses.
