SLC announced that at an Emergency Executive Committee Meeting held on Tuesday (10) to discuss the Media reports on the allegations made by the JVP Member of Parliament Sunil Handunhetti, the committee was of the opinion that all the allegations made were baseless and done with malicious intent to discredit the Executive Committee and more over the Hony. Secretary.
SLC further said that ExCo would address the Media in due course with all the relevant documents and approvals obtained, in order to clear the negative perception which has been created in the minds of the public by these false allegations.
The SLC further added that ExCo is in the process of discussing this matter further with the legal committee in order to take this process further.
