Sri Lanka's first under 20 inter School baseball tournament will be held 10th to 14th this year, the Sri Lanka school Baseball association and Junior Old Boys Association of Colombo Nalanda Colleage announced yesterday (02nd) . Participating a Media Conference held at the Nalanda College, Language center the officials of the base boll association and  the  Junior Old Boys Association said that the tournament will be at Diyagama National Baseball Association ground and other matches will be held at the Colombo university and Narahenpita Shalika hall grounds. Around 450 persons will involve to this tournament including, 345 players from 15 Teams, they added.

It was reported that Baseball game was introduce to Sri Lanka in 1995 and now it has been spread to 22 colleges.

President of Sri Lanka Baseball Association Priyantha Ekanayake, President of Sri Lanka Schools Baseball Association and the Principal of Royal Colleage B.A Abeyrathna and Principal of Nalanda Colleage Thilak Waththuhewa Also participated in this conference.
