    Seventh ‘Save the Sports’ Coaching Camp will be held at Urapola

    With the presence of Former Test Cricket Captain Minister of Ports and Shipping Arjuna  Ranatunga, ‘Save the Sports’ organization have organized the s Save the Sports coaching camp and workshop to be held at the Urapola Central College today (28th Aug.).

    The coaching camp will begin at 8.30 in the morning and it will be held throughout the day stated the ‘Save the Sports’ organization.

     

    ‘Save the Sports’ organization introduced this on a voluntary basis for the progress of sports in Sri Lanka. Save the Sports coaching camp began 2 years earlier with the intention of introducing the talented sportspersons from rural areas to international standards. The first was held at the National Sports Training Institute. Afterwards these coaching camps were continued in areas such as Colombo, Gampaha, Ja-Ela, Jaffna and Moratuwa. Sports such as Cricket, Volleyball, Football and Netball will be included in the seventh Urapola coaching camp. In addition to these sports advisory services, personality development programs, sports medical advice, exhibitory matches and the experience of sports journalists will be shared in this coaching camp, stated the ‘Save the Sports’ organization.
