Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi flagged off International Military Sport Council (CISM) Day Run, this morning (21) at the Rifle Green Grounds, Colombo.
Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Crishantha De Silva, Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Raveendra Wijegunawardene and Commander of the Air Force and President of the Defence Services Sports Board Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala were also present at the occasion.
Over a hundred personnel from each service participated in the 'CISM Day Run' which covered a distance of about 2 km.
Officers and other ranks of the tri-forces also participated at the event.
