Two cricketers of the Army Cricket team have been selected to the Sri Lanka National Squad for the T-20 tour to India, which is scheduled during Feb 06-16.
Warrant Officer II Sekkuge Prasanna of 3 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) and Bombardier Asela Gunarathne of 6 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) were among the selected players.
Bombardier Gunarathne had already been in several Sri Lanka ‘A’ squads and is set to make his T-20 debut in this tour, becoming the third Army cricketer after Ajantha Mendis and Sekkuge Prasanna to represent Sri Lanka.
