Adding to the growing list of golf courses around the country, this nine hole golf course, is the SLAF's third course, joining the Eagles' Golf Links at China Bay and Eagles' Heritage Golf links at Anuradhapura.
The Eagles' Catalina Golf Course with its lush green fairways in the south coast of the Sri Lanka Air Force Station at Koggala, offers the growing community of golfers in Sri Lanka a unique opportunity to experience the country and its beauty-truly in style.
The Club house building was designed and built by the Directorate of Civil Engineering of the Sri Lanka Air Force while the construction was carried out by Air Field Construction wing (AFCW) at SLAF Base Ratmalana.
The Inter Unit Golf Championship 2015 was held at newly opened Eagles ' Catalina Golf Course today. Sri Lanka Air Force Base Anuradhapura secured the overall championship whilst SLAF Academy China bay became runner up at the tournament.
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala graced the event as the Chief Guest. The Air Force Board of Management, Chairman SLAF Golf Air Cdre SK Pathirana , Secretary SLAF Golf Group Captain P Ranasinghe, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Koggala Wing Commander SC Wijayanayake, and many other golfers representing SLAF establishments also participated at this event.
