The final report of the Committee appointed to investigate into alleged fraud and corruption at Sri Lanka Cricket, was handed over to the Minister of Plantation Industries and former Tourism and Sports Minister Navin Dissanayake yesterday (29). The report was handed over by the Chairman of the Board of Inquiry Ravi Algama. Thereafter, Minister Navin Dissanayake handed over the report to the new Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera at the Sports Ministry.
Minister of Tourism and Sports Navin Dissanayake appointed this three-member Committee to investigate and report on any corruption, abuse of power and authority by any Office Bearer/ Office Bearers and members of the Committee of former Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket The Committee comprised of Ravi Algama (Chairman), Jaliya Bodinagoda and Waruna Mallawarachchi, all lawyers.
