The President also highlighted that morally degraded society will never reach prosperity. Therefore he pointed out that spiritual development should go hand in hand with physical development.

Thus creating of a righteous society with spiritual and religious upbringing along with rules and regulations is utmost important, the President further added speaking at a ceremony held in Wadduwa Subadrarama Pirivena on Sunday (07).

The president also met the Chief Incumbent of the temple Ven. Bowitiye Dhammissara thero and offered Atapirikara. Thereafter, the president opened the newly constructed shrine room and made the first floral offering. The president also laid the foundation stone for proposed two stories sanghawasa building.

Maha Sangha including Ven. Dimbulkumbure Sri Saranankara Wimaladhamma Thera, Anunayake of Malwatta Chapter, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe, Ministers Rajitha Senaratne, A.H.M.Fowzie, public representatives, and residents of the area were present.
