As part of a concept developed by President Maithripala Sirisena to felicitate school children, the second phase of the Sujatha Daruwo program was held yesterday (26) at the Jaffna Vembadi girls school with the attendance of the President.
School children from 17 Sinhala, Muslim, and Tamil schools in the North attended the event and extensively briefed the President regarding the shortcomings faced by their respective schools.
Chief Minister of the Northern Province C.V.Vigneshwaran, Deputy Minister Vijayakala Maheshwaran and Member of Parliament Mavai Senathiraja joined the President at this event.
