A book mark issued to mark War Heroes Remembrance Month was presented to President Maithripala Sirisena by the President of the Ranaviru Seva Authority, Mrs. Anoma Fonseka yesterday (May 21) at President's Residence.
The President handed over these book marks to Provincial Governors and Heads of the Tri Forces to sell them island wide. The cash earned by selling them will be given for the welfare of War Heroes, through Ranaviru Seva Authority.
At this event, the Governors handed over the money earned from book marks sold during the War Heroes Remembrance Month last year to President Sirisena, who gave it to the Ranaviru Seva Authority for the welfare of War Heroes.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
