The 2015 International Nurses' Day ceremony organized by the Public Services United Nurses’ Association was held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium. under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Addressing the function President Maithripala Sirisena emphasised on the need for a national programme that would ensure a qualitative nursing service. He said that facilities in Nursing Schools will be developed in order to make them Nursing Universities.

President of Public Services United Nurses’ Association Venerable Muruthettuwe Ananda Thera, Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne and Ministry officials were present on the occasion.
