Both parties held discussions on wide range of issues related to the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Secretary-General Mr. Kamalesh Sharma also briefed President Maithripala Sirisena on the status and progress of the Commonwealth.

Minister of External Affairs Mr Mangala Samaraweera and Central Provincial Council Member Mr Azad Sally were present on the occasion.

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and First Lady Jayanthi Sirisena arrived in London  on Saturday, March 7, 2015, beginning a four-day official visit to the United Kingdom.
