Accordingly, 3500 field officers in the district were eligible to receive motor cycles. The programe initiated by the previous government through 2014 budget proposals to provide motor cycles to public officers engaged in field level duties is being further implemented by the new government with the aim of expanding public service delivery and thereby providing more effective service to the general public.

 

 

The recipients received the keys of the bikes from the MInister of Tourism and Sports Navin Dissanayake and State Minister for Education V.Radhakrishnan.

 

 

Present on the occasion were Nuwara Eliya District Secretary D.P.G.Kumarasiri and Addl.District Secretary Ms.U.W.R.U.M.Amarasekera.
