The President said all parties should rally to assist the government in its future activities. He requested all to take measures to direct the government in the correct path with constructive criticism ather than praising it.

The President made these remarks addressing a gathering of several civil society representatives from 'Purawesi Balaya' and 'Aluth Parapura' at the Presidential Secretariat on tuesday (28).

During the meeting the representatives had called for the inclusion of civil society representatives to the National Executive Council apart from political representatives.They also requested the reestablishment of the Presidential Investigation Unit.

President Sirisena assured to take necessary measures through discussions with relevant parties.
