President Presides at Government Family Health Officers’ Annual Conference ^Featured

President Mahinda Rajapakse said that the government has provided a better health service to the people. He said that no country in the world provides free health facilities to the people. He also pointed out that 185 billion rupees has been allocated in the 2015et too.

The President expressed these remarks participating at the Annual Conference of Government Family Health Officers' (Midwives) held on Tuesday (09) at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

The President also commended the midwives for the services rendered by them to bring up children to be healthy citizens.

The President was presented with a memento in appreciation of services rendered to improve the on behalf of this service.

Deputy Minister Lalith Dissanayake, Parliamentarians Mrs.Sudharshani Fernandopulle, J.R.P.Sooriyapperuma, Health Ministry Secretary Ms.Sudharma Karunarathna were present. (KH)
