All Ceylon Muslim congress pledge support to President

All Ceylon Muslim congress (ACMC) has pledged to support the incumbent President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the forthcoming Presidential Election.contesting for an unprecedented third term at the upcoming presidential elections.

A delegation of ACMC, led by party leader Minister Rishad Bathiudeen met President Rajapaksa on Saturday (07) at the Temple Trees and informed the party's decision to support the President at the Elections.

The President during the discussion said that every citizen in the country owes the right to practice a religion of their choice and his government is bound to protect that right to the maximum.

The ACMC Chief Secretary, Party Organizers,Pprovincial Council Members who contested from the party, representatives from the provincial councils were present.

Ministers Susil Premajayantha and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa also participated in the discussion.(KH)
