Three members representing the party in the Western, Southern and North Western provinces, the General Secretary of the Democratic Bikku Front and several other members of the Maha Sangha including several electoral organizers of the party who were present at Temple Trees on Monday (10) expressed their support for the President in the forthcoming presidential election.

They said that they do not approve the current policies of the leadership of the party and it is not possible to do politics or to serve the country under a leader who is not suitable for leadership Therefore they stated that they have decided to serve the country and the people under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Senior Minister A.H.M.Fousie, W.D.J.Senevirathna, Northern Province Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera, Project Ministers Nirmala Kothalawala, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkody, Deputy Minister Sarana Gunawardena were present on the occasion.(KH)
