A massive crowd of UPFA supporters were present at the final rally  held in Wellawaya in support of the Chief Ministerial candidate Shashindra Rajapaksa.

Speaking at the Wellawaya rally President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that the present government has made a stop to the era of bribing the people merely for petty political gains.  He further added that there were some who made money out of the war and emphasised that  what the Rajapaksas did was to democratically fight the war and eradicate terrorism from the country.

Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa, Senior Minister Tissa Vitharana, a large crowd of Ministers including Maithripala Sirisena, Jagath Pushpakumara, Sumedha G.Jayasena, Vijith Wijithamuni Soysa, Dinesh Gunawardena, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Vasudeva Nanayakkara,  Wimal Weerawansa, Pavithra Wanniarachchi,  W.D.J.Senevirathna, Mahinda Amaraweera, Felix Perera, JOhnston Fernando, Gamini Lokuge, Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkody, Deputy Ministers Indika Bandaranayake, Dulip Wijesekera were present.(KH)
