President Rajapakse also recalled the injustice caused to people of Sevenagala by the United National Party by privatizing the Sevenagala sugar cane factory that plays a major role in the economy of the area. However the present government was able to acquire the factory again ensuring justice to the farmers in Sevanagala.
The students of the school warmly welcomed the President and thereafter the President vested the new laboratory with the students by unveiling the plaque.
Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the new laboratory comprise a science laboratory equipped with 40 computers, mathematics laboratory, language laboratory with 20 computers,, Nenasa distance education unit and a Advanced Level Science Laboratory.
Ministers Jagath Pushpakumara, Sumedha G.Jayasena, Johnston Fernando, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Lakshman Senevirathna, Deputy Minister Indika Bandaranayake, Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkody were present at the occasion.(KH)
