President meets Tamil Community in Monaragala District

President Mahinda Rajapakse met the Tamil community in the Moneragala district at a special meeting held at the Auditorium of the Library in Moneragala on Thursday (04).

Over 4000 Tamil people in the Monaragala District participated at the meeeting and they warmly welcomed President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Addressing the Tamil Community, the President said that the present government has paid special attention in enhamcing education facilities of the Estate Tamil children. He assured them that the government will fulfill their responsibilities towards the Tamil Community without any discrimination.

Ministers Arumugam Thondaman, Johnston Fernando, Indika Bandaranayake, Parliamentarian Roshan Ranasinghe were present at the meeting.. (KH)
