The Dhamma Sermon for Adi-Poson Full Moon Poya Day of the series of ‘Sadaham Yathra Damma Sermon’ was held at the Paramartha Dharmakara Piriven Viharasthanaya, Pethiyagoda, Kelaniya yesterday (29th) with participation of President Maithripala Sirisena.

The Dhamma sermon was delivered by the Ven. Korathota Wessabu Thero. The President who arrived at the temple first engaged in religious activities. He also looked into well- being of Ven. Dompe Indrasiri Nayaka Thero.

Later, the President joined in listening the Dhamma Sermon and Ministers and MPs including Ministers Wijeyadasa Rajapakse, Sarath Fonseka, Ranjith Siyabalapitiya, Deputy Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna, the Governor of the Western Province Hemakumara Nanayakkara, public servants and devotees in the area also participated on this occasion.

Meanwhile, President Sirisena opened the renovated historic Vihara Mandiraya of Kandyan period and the Vishnu Devalaya at the Paramartha Dharmakara Piriven Viharasthanaya. The President also unveiled the newly built Buddha Mandiraya at the Viharasthanaya. President Maithripala Sirisena also opened a new micro solar power unit installed at the Temple.

The Maha Sangha including Maha Nayaka of Kotte Sri Kalyani Samagri Dharma Maha Sangha Sabha Ven. Dr. Iththepane Dhammalankara Thero, the Chancellor of the Kelaniya University Most Ven. Welamitiyawe Kusala Dhamma Thero participated on this occasion.
