The President praised the educational talents of Dulanjali Madumali Premarathna who gained 168 marks, passing the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2017, living amidst many economic difficulties as she had lost her father as well as no proper shelter. President Sirisena pledged to provide Rs.3, 000 per month to the student until she completes her higher education.

Meanwhile, Minister Sajith Premadasa who was present at this event promised to build a house for Dulanjali Madumali Premarathna.

President Maithripala Sirisena handed over school books and many gifts adequate for a year to the student.
