The 60th anniversary celebration of the Society of Government Pharmacists was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the BMICH, yesterday (19th June).
During the event President Sirisena presented awards to the Pharmacy Departments at the universities for providing support to upgrade the professionalism of pharmacists during their 60-year history.
The Diploma Course in Pharmacy, conducted by the Ministry of Health was elevated to a higher diploma course on this occasion.
Minister of Health Rajitha Senarathne also participated.
