A special progress review meeting of the Independent Commissions set up under the 19th Constitutional amendment was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (17th May) at the President’s Office.
The Chairmen, Secretaries, and other officials of Public Service, Elections, National Police, Audit Service, Human Rights, Finance, Delimitation, and National Procurement Commissions participated at this meeting.
Secretary to the President P.B. Abeykoon was also present.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
