    “Mahasupavanshaya’’ launched

    The launching ceremony of the book “Mahasupavanshaya”, (The Great Chronicle of Culinary Art), written by eminent Chef Deshabandu Dr. Publis Silva was held on Monday (24th April) at BMICH under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.

     

    Dr. Silva has written this book as a result of carrying out research and studies for more than 40 years on the taste and the medicinal value of the Sri Lankan food.

     

    It is significant that this book containing 1,000 pages has introduced around 1,450 unique Sri Lankan edible plants, fruits and vegetables.
