    Pulathisi Youth Camp concludes

    The conclusion ceremony of the Pulathisi Youth Camp – “Youth for the Country”, was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the Royal College of Polonnaruwa, yesterday (12th March).


    This program is implemented under a concept of the President, with the objective of building a young generation which can contribute to the forthcoming development process in the country, with their qualities of leadership and personality. This is the first youth camp of a series of such camps.


    The President also presented certificates to the youth who participated at the Youth Camp.


    Later, President Sirisena engaged in a cordial discussion with the young people and they also shared their experiences at the Youth Camp, with the President.


    In parallel to the Youth Camp, the “Saru” Radio by the President’s Media Division was launched and the President also visited the radio station.


    The Youth Camp, which paved the way to receive new experiences for the Pulathisi youth commenced under the patronage of the President on March 10.


    The President joined with the young people to sing songs and also joined in the morning physical exercises with them. The President further said that he will commit himself to fulfill the aspirations of the youth.


    In the future the Youth Camps will be held in different parts of the Island and they will be organized with the contribution of all the relevant public and private institutions, including Special Projects Unit of the Presidential Secretariat and Prime Minister’s Office.
