The One Earth Arboretum is a biodiversity experience that is designed to present the aesthetic, functional and psychological value of nature in an engaging and educational facility.
This was established by Dilmah founder Merrill J. Fernando at a cost of Rs. 250 million for the benefit of present and future generations.
The One Earth Arboretum expanding in nine acres, features over 500 floral species in two ecosystems including traditional tank centric agriculture, rain fed chena cultivation and paddy cultivation.
The President inaugurated the program to plant 10,000 fruit plants at this occasion.
The president also observed the children center established for the children with special needs. He also had cordial discussions with the children and joined them singing.
