During this Discussion Forum organized by the Central Province Sustainable School Society, the school children were educated about their role in the process of sustainable development. The President also provided answers for few questions raised by the children, explaining the Government’s vision on sustainable development.

 

A special memento was presented to the President to mark his visit to the Mahaweli National College of Education in Polgolla.

 

Later, the President made an inspection tour of the Tamil College, Kengalla and inquired about their education and was engaged in a cordial discussion with them.

 

Minister of Education, AkilaViraj Kariyawasam, Chief Minister of the Central Province, Sarath Ekanayake and many others participated.
