The ‘Isiwara Vededuru’ felicitating award ceremony, organized to offer awards to the indigenous doctors of the North-Central Province, who render a significant service to indigenous medicine, was held on Thursday (Oct. 13) at the Swarnapali Balika Vidyalaya, Anuradhapura.
The President presented awards and gifts to 50 indigenous doctors on this occasion.
The President also was presented a special souvenir.
The Maha Sangha, Ministers Duminda Dissanayake, P. Harrison, Chandrani Bandara, chief Minister of North Central Province Peshala Jayarathne and Mr. K. H. Nandasena were among the participants.
