Farmers who will soon be relocated in Medirigiriya and Bisopura areas under the Moragahakanda - Kaluganga project received their land deeds from President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (26th March) at a ceremony held in Medirigiriya.
Accordingly, 28 colonists were received their deeds along with some equipment for agriculture from World Food Organization.
Public representatives of the area, and the Secretary to the Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment Udaya R. Senevirathne were also present at the occasion.
