This report was prepared after consulting prominent scientists and researchers under three categories - environment, social and health.

President received the report while participating a special conference on prevention of kidney diseases organized by the Chinese Academy of Science together with the Water Supply and Drainage Board in Colombo.

Sri Lanka will receive Chinese technical assistance to find the root cause for the fast spreading deadly kidney diseases and preventive measures as per the agreement signed by the President during his recent State visit to China.

The President extended his appreciation to the Government of China and its people for organizing yesterday’s event. To mark the event special mementos were exchanged.
