Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe recently appointed a five-member committee to investigate the reasons for the recent island-wide power outage and to suggest a plan to avoid such in the future.
The committee chaired by C.Maliyedda, Advisor of the Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs is included Thilak Kollurai, Prof.Sam Karunarathne, Prof.Kumara David, and Neomal Pelpola.
The final committee report will be submitted to the Prime Minister within 4 weeks
