    President of Sri Lanka is already in Bolivia to take part of the G-77 Summit Featured

    Santa Cruz, (MC).- At 07.00 am on Friday, the president of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa, arrived to the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, to participate in the G77 Summit to be held this weekend.

    Rajapaksa was welcomed by the Colorados de Bolivia, President of the Senate, Eugenio Rojas and the president of the Municipal Council of Santa Cruz, Desire Bravo.

     

    The President of Sri Lanka will be awarded with the medal of merit Marcelo Quiroga Santa Cruz, granted by the Plurinational Legislative Assembly.

     

    Related to its proposal, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka supports the Bolivian initiative to propose an agenda for a new world order since the Summit.

     

    Sri Lanka is a sovereign island country in Asia, located in the Bay of Bengal. In 2009, the Government launched an offensive against guerrillas called The Tigers, this to ensure peace in the Asian country. (HC)
