The adjournment was as a result of a confusion with nregard to an additional book that was presented instead of the one that consisted the second reading of the Budget.

MP Dinesh Gunwardena raised a question in Parliament as to which book contains the real Budget provisions.

The Chief Opposition Whip Anura Kumara Dissanayake also requested to provide a clarification with regard to these two books.

Leader of the house Lakshman Kiriella refuted the charge made by the opposition.

The Speaker said that an explanation in this regard is required and that Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake will  provide a clarification.
