    President participates at many religious activities in Seeduwa

    President Maithripala Sirisena on Thursday (19) declared open the newly built Atavisi Buddha Mandiraya and Bodhi Prakaraya at Sirisugataramaya, Seeduwa.

    The President engaged in religious observances at the Sirisugataramaya and after offering  Atapirikara to the Chief Incumbent of the Amarapura Maha Nikaya Most Venerable Davuldena Sri Gnanissara Thero, declared open the Atavisi Buddha Mandiraya and Bodhi Prakaraya amidst the blessing of the Maha Sangha.

     

    Parallel to this event the Golden Fence of the temple, Wahalkada (gateway)  and Athpaura also was declared open by the President.

     

    The President  was presented a memento by the President of the Dayaka Sabha to mark this event. Minister of Urban Development and Water Supply, Sudarshani Fernandopulle also participated in this event.
