The tenth death anniversary of the late Lakshman Kadirgamar PC and Member of Parliament will be held at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) on August 12 at 5 30 pm.
The keynote address, titled the ‘Art of nuance – Lakshman Kadirgamar: A Sri Lankan statesman’ will be delivered by Dr. Radhika Coomaraswamy, international human rights advocate and former Under Secretary- General of the United Nations, Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict.
The highlight of the commemoration event will be the launch of ‘The Cake that was Baked at Home,’ written by his daughter, Ajita Kadirgamar and published by Vijitha Yapa Publications.
