The Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayaka said that the world commends the partnership of the present President and Prime Minister. Therefore he said that international financial organizations are funding local development projects.
Minister Ravi Karunanayake further pointed out that as a result it would be possible to lay the foundation stone in few days for the Colombo-Kandy Expressway.
The Minister expressed these views attending a function held to provide a free insurance cover for lottery sellers. The value of the Insurance Cover is 250,000 rupees. There is a network of 12,000 lottery sellers under the National Lotteries Board in the Island.
